CAVITE, Philippines – The YesPH Community Development, Inc. chaired by its Ambassador Dingdong Dantes turns over a new leaf to the working students in the City of General Trias, Cavite by providing them with a draft ordinance on 10% food discount.
The turnover of the ordinance between the ambassador and the city’s key officials—Mayor Ony Ferrer, Congressman Jon-Jon Ferrer, and YesPH Leader Councilor Kerby Salazar—was highlighted at the 6th General Trias Youth Leaders Summit held at the General Trias Cultural and Convention Center on 27 October 2017.
During the summit, which has a theme, “Young Caviteños, Partners in Fulfilling Change,” the Alyas Robin Hood lead star shared his experience as a working student and the advocacy of the YesPH movement to almost 1,000 youth leaders from school-based and out-of-school organizations in the province of Cavite.
He also delivered an inspiring and youthful message, motivating the crowd to pursue their dreams amid all life’s trials and circumstances.
“Diamonds are made under strong pressure. Kaya ang inyong persistence at resourcefulness, ang inyong resilience [So your persistence, resourcefulness, and resilience] that you developed along the way will not only allow you to thrive in spite of challenges, but also to make you a better and strong person,” he said.
In addition, he encouraged the city government officials to approve the ordinance as soon as possible—all for the benefit of the youth.
